CES is seeking an experienced Architect Intern for a GTA client

Direct Hire 50-70K

Primary Responsibilities
 Responsible for preparing and producing presentation quality drawings, models, renderings and construction documents
 Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, and design working drawing, model and 3D image formats
 Responsible for developing designs and technical solutions throughout all phases of a project
 Attend client meetings to observe the overall process and develop presentation skills
 Participate in construction site visits to better understand the construction process
 Recognize and document conflicts that arise during construction and offer alternatives to resolve these issues
 Responsible for post-construction appraisal stages; handing the project over to the client or making sure the building is appropriately furnished and prepared to client specification.
 Attend meeting with the city officials for Site Plan Approvals, Re-zoning, Permit etc.
 Represent company Client Visions to all parties and ensure design directions are carried through
 Other duties as required
Qualifications:
 Must be a graduate of an accredited Post-Secondary Architectural Program
 Registration with the OAA as an Intern and working towards Licensure
 Possess excellent graphic, 3D rendering, presentation design skills and abilities (portfolio required)
 Ability to communicate in an energetic team environment
 Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Sketch-up or similar software
 Attention to detail and accuracy
 Ability to meet deadlines and follow-through with strong organizational skills
 Ability to present concepts and ideas to staff, client’s, consultants, city officials etc.
 Ability to Manage, assign tasks and mentor staff
