CES is seeking an experienced Die Supervisor for a GTA client

Job Responsibilities
 Assists Die Shop in achieving optimal departmental performance in the following functions: Die Polishing, Die Nitriding, Die Caustic Treatment, Die Sandblasting, Die Correcting, delivery of extrusion tooling to the press and retrieval of dies after extrusion.
 Responsible for the day to day directing and supervising of departmental employees. This includes planning and scheduling.
 Able to lead and promote a team environment.
 Ensures departmental staffing requirements are met and with accordance to the Collective Agreement where applicable; including hiring, employee training, development and performance evaluation and other logistical requirements.
 Provides administrative assistance to die shop general foreman.
 Ensures the receiving of extrusion tooling daily in Die Shop.
 Dispenses the necessary tools and supplies to Die Shop Personnel.
 Ensures that the Die Shop hourly employee records are maintained on a daily basis.
 Assists the department in meeting Health and Safety requirements.
 Uses discretionary judgment to assess die correction needs and assist die correctors as required.
 Inspects dies for compliance with specifications, communicates potential problems and determines acceptability.
 Enforces the Collective Agreement fairly and equitably.
 Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience
 Ten years of industry experience in die correction
 Mathematical and computer ability for functions associated with the Die shop
 Previous aluminium experience preferred
 Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
