Canadian Executive Search is seeking qualified Human Resource Administrators for one of our clients in Oshawa, Ontario.

Straight days or Straight afternoons!

$55000/yr + 5% bonus!

Training will take place in Tillsonburg, Ontario for 1-2 weeks.

– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources field
– Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Payroll Administration role
– Grade 12 Education or Equivalent
– College or University education in the field of Human Resources preferred
– Must be willing to travel to all locations
– No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
– Successful completion of aptitude test
– Pass company medical
– Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills
– Must have at least 2 doses of the covid vaccine

General Responsibility
– Must maintain absolute confidentiality and remain impartial
– Track attendance weekly. Issue corrective actions for attendance issues as required
– Ensures compliance to all company policies and procedures, as well as all government regulations, enforcing compliance as required
– Promote positive employee relations; conduct on site visits with employees on all shifts
– Administer all recruitment and selection activities for hourly and salary positions; including creating and posting advertisements, screening resumes, interviewing, creating and issuing job offers/ new hire paperwork and administering aptitude tests as required
– Conduct exit interviews for all positions, excluding managers
– Responsible for internal job posting process including creating and tracking postings, following up with managers on applicants and interviewing candidates
– Conduct orientation for all new employees
– Send out monthly newsletters from EAP provider, and coordinate sessions with provider as required
– Conduct spot audits of the temporary staffing agencies to ensure orientations/ training is being completed according to legislative and client requirements
– Assist with the program for non- occupational leaves: Follow up with employees on their progress/ return to work date, create return to work plans where required, ensure benefit premiums are paid while on leave
– Assist with grievance process and related tasks
– Assist with the creation and implement training to meet both the legislative and company requirements; including but not limited to Supervisor training, leadership, policy or soft skills training
– Assist with employee programs: social functions, service awards, Christmas lunches etc.
– Assist with the benefits program including following up on employee inquiries, distributing benefit cards and making coordinating administrative changes (ex. employee wages, classes,
and addresses)
– Assist in conducting investigations and administering corrective action as required
– Attend HR training, seminars and networking as required
– All other tasks as assigned

Direct Responsibilities
– Ensure policies and procedures are trained and applied in a fair and consistent manner
– Work with the Operations to ensure that open positions are filled in a timely manner using multiple recruitment initiatives
– Establish and maintain effective relationships will all employees, enhancing Employee Relations

Physical Responsibilities
– Frequent computer use
– May be required to sit for extended periods of time
– May be required to repeatedly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted
– May be required to lift between 50-75 lbs assisted
– Frequent use of hands, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, standing and reaching may occur
– There may be some stepping up, stepping down and carrying
