Compensation: ¥5,300,000 Based on experience – Annual salary + Benefits Package

Position Summary:

The Key Accounts Manager will oversee national distribution in the territory across existing outlets (CVS, SM) and new channels (GT, Travel, Universities). This role focuses on in-store execution, brand visibility, and engaging the Asahi Soft Drinks Sales Organization in the regions. Responsibilities include managing regional chains and wholesalers, as well as activating sales at local universities.

Essential Job Functions:
• Meet and exceed volume and market share objectives for the territory.
• Merchandise retail and on-premise accounts by delivering and placing products, POS, and refrigeration units.
• Execute seasonal consumer promotions in the retail channel by collaborating with Asahi sales teams.
• Manage POSM orders, delivery timing, inventory, and budget.
• Identify new business opportunities and channels (e.g., online) to enhance volume.
• Maintain customer focus by proactively identifying opportunities to improve service and responding to customer problems quickly.
• Attend and participate in distributor sales meetings and customer negotiations regularly, training and working alongside distributor staff.
• Demonstrate a passion for understanding business practices, trends, and technology.
• Leverage knowledge of key business drivers (customers, consumers, competitors, and company) to achieve results.
• Understand and anticipate the financial impact of business plans and actions on both MEJ and the customer.
• Assist in developing and selling profitable contracts that fit within guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Requirements:
• 3 years of sales experience in a retail, broker, and distributor sales environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Finance.
• Hands-on approach to the business, doer.
• Ability to handle fieldwork and merchandising tasks daily.
• Demonstrated track record of sales management achievement.
• Proven knowledge of broker, distributor, and retail customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers and brokers; ability to collaborate at all levels.
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and expense management skills.
• Ability to work independently while being a team player.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with forecasting, Nielsen/IRI, POS, and inventory reports.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.
