About the Opportunity
AWS/CES is seeking a hands-on Resale Technician for our automotive service client.
This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and preparing vehicles for resale or return to inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong automotive mechanical background, experience diagnosing vehicle issues, and the ability to perform repairs, install replacement parts, and complete vehicle recalls and electronic updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections and complete required CAPL inspection worksheets.
- Inspect vehicles for prototype components, damaged parts, and mechanical issues.
- Identify, remove, and replace prototype or defective vehicle components.
- Complete vehicle modifications, recalls, and required repairs.
- Diagnose vehicle issues and identify necessary repairs.
- Install replacement parts and components as needed.
- Perform electronic updates, vehicle programming, and flashing when required.
- Conduct final inspections and prepare vehicles for road testing.
- Ensure all work orders and vehicle documentation are completed accurately.
- Follow company safety standards and customer service expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Automotive mechanical or vehicle repair experience.
- ASE certifications in automotive mechanics or vehicle repair.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and mechanical diagnostics.
- Experience with computer diagnostics and automotive electronics.
- Ability to read and interpret vehicle schematics.
- Experience operating automotive shop equipment, including:
- Vehicle lifts and hoists
- A/C machines
- Tire machines and wheel balancers
- Diagnostic and computer equipment
- Familiarity with power tools, impact tools, grinders, sanders, and general hand tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively within a team.
