CES/AWS is now looking for a off shift assistant production manager to work in a growing and busy tier 1 facility in Princeton IN.

This role could pay a range of $3400/mo-$4000/mo in salary DOE

The off shift management role would consist of an over lap of both the 2nd and 3rd shift- shift covers 630pm-3am

Position Description

The role of this position is to supervise and coordinate activities of production areas and other related duties concerning the production of company goods on the off shift of plant operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift.
  • Trains, coaches, & mentors Production Specialist and Team Leaders.
  • Conducting of team meetings and passing of relevant company information to team members.
  • Conduct team member performance reviews.
  • Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, team member training, team member vacations, team member breaks, overtime assignment, finding back up for absent team members.
  • Coordinates production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
  • Coordinates with Human Resources appropriate staffing levels.
  • Responsible to meet shift production goals.
  • Responsible for quality of product. Makes adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specification. Rejects product out of specification and segregates appropriately.
  • Operates with standardized work instructions.
  • Communicates with other Specialists and Production Manager.
  • Ensures plant safety.
  • Ensures 5s in assigned areas.
  • Ensures shift paperwork is completed.
  • Assists in production as necessary.
  • Monitors maintenance of equipment to keep lines running.
  • Creates standard work and process layouts as assigned along with FMDS boards.
  • Conduct countermeasure investigation of incidents that occur on shift.
  • Ensures that attendance tracking of all assigned team members by Specialist.
  • Troubleshoot processes as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

Two Years college or technical school: 2-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Previous production and/or injection molding experience a plus.
  • Ability to plan, organize, communicate, and motivate team members.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is locating in an office/plant environment and may be exposed to regularly to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise level.
