Back-Up Lift Truck Driver / Production Associate

Canadian Executive Search Group is looking to hire a Back-Up Lift Truck Driver / Production Associate for a local automotive manufacturing facility in Tecumseh, On.

Location: Tecumseh, Ontario

Role: Back-Up Lift Truck Driver / Production Associate

Role Type: Full-Time / Temporary to Permanent

Wage: $21.50/hour. + Shift Premiums

Shift Premiums:

  • Afternoons – $0.50/hr
  • Midnights- $0.75/hr.

Start Date: Immediate

Description 

We’re seeking skilled, safety-conscious individuals with experience operating forklifts in fast-paced environments. When not operating the lift truck, you would support the team as a production associate on the line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport and distribute racks for production in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure materials, components, and packaging are transported to production areas according to schedule and requirements.
  • Pull and distribute re-worked parts to designated load areas as needed.
  • Maintain FIFO standards by ensuring raw parts are pulled and distributed in the order they were received.
  • Distribute finished goods to shipping areas according to shipping requirements.
  • If not utilized as a driver, be prepared to work on the production line to support operational needs.
  • Perform all other duties as required by the shift Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience We’re Looking For

  • Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean criminal background
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a lift truck driver
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid lift truck license is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days and afternoons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must have reliable transportation, as this location is not serviced by public transportation routes.
