Canadian Executive Search Group (CES) is now hiring a Full-Time Brake Press Operator on behalf of our client in Woodbridge, ON.
Position Summary
The Brake Press Operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of brake press machines, interpret blueprints/drawings, select tooling, perform quality checks (using calipers, micrometers), and ensure production rates. Performing visual inspections of automotive parts, using basic tools to verify quality standards, packing parts for shipping, and repetitively lifting items up to 50 lbs. You will also be expected to maintain a clean work area and follow all safety procedures while working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Bend parts according to provided drawings and specifications
- Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required
- Program, set up Machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality
- Interface with Quality and Engineering
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards
- Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment
or work practices - All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- Comply with all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of experience with the Brake Press & Metal fabrication
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools
- Ability to identify and change Brake Press tools
- Ability to work independently or with supervision
- Capable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table level
- Mathematical aptitude
- Must be able to work full time
