Canadian Executive Search Group (USA) is currently seeking a  Business Development Manager for a food processing client in the London, ON area.

  • Location: London, ON
  • Schedule: Full Time
  • Compensation: $100k-$140k Salary Base DOE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with QA to enhance product specifications.
  • Sell innovative products within the food processing sector.
  • Work with Finance to refine pricing strategies.
  • Communicate and evolve the company’s value proposition.
  • Manage a value-based sales process to drive growth.
  • Understand and guide the formulation processes in food production.
  • Lead and manage relationships with processors and ensure their expectations are met.
  • Set clear sales objectives, provide guidance, and monitor team performance.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and strategic plans for clients and team members.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate potential client relationships.
  • Foster strong relationships with key accounts and customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Marketing/Sales experience, with a proven track record in sales management, preferably in the agriculture, food processing, or pet food industry.
  • Working knowledge of shipping and packaging departments.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex sales processes, including strategic and conceptual selling, forecasting/planning, project management, negotiation, and relationship-building with multiple client functions.
