Position Summary
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role supports production by ensuring materials are delivered on time to the line and handling all required documentation and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
Ensure production lines are supplied with materials in a timely manner.
Perform quality inspections and report any defects to the quality lead.
Maintain accurate inventory records and notify management of any discrepancies.
Complete all required documentation before the end of each shift.
Comply with all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
Valid forklift license (must be able to provide proof and pass a practical test).
Minimum 2 year of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Able to work 5–6 days per week (including Saturdays as needed).
Flexible to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights) and up to 12-hour shifts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Physically capable of bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Own transportation required (location not on a bus route).
Must have safety shoes, safety glasses, and a mask.
