Maintenance Supervisor
Canadian Executive Search is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor for our client in Windsor!
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the daily maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal equipment performance, reduced downtime, and support for ongoing continuous improvement efforts. This position requires strong technical knowledge, effective leadership skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team
- Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues in collaboration with maintenance technicians and production teams
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to maintenance staff
- Collaborate closely with production leadership and management to support operational objectives
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a unionized environment; experience in food manufacturing or a related industry is preferred
- Millwright, Electrician, or related trade certification considered an asset
- Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and/or automation systems
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Demonstrated success in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards
