CES is looking for a chemical compounder in the Windsor area.
Description:
You will be responsible for safely creating, testing, storing and shipping chemical compounds for customers in Canada and the US.
Duties:
- Manufacture, transfer, store and ship many different kinds of chemicals based on
specific recipes and customer work orders.
- Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating
Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow company policies and procedures.
- Work with Quality Control by following specific sampling procedures and frequencies.
- Label and take samples to the lab for testing. Make batch adjustments prescribed by the lab when necessary. Re-sample if required.
- Remove garbage and empty drums for disposal using appropriate disposal methods
- Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area at all times
- Clean and sanitize equipment as required or assigned.
- Develop and encourage a high level of positive work ethic and team building
- Understand continuous improvement and develop suggestions for implementation
- Must be able to continuously learn to operate all compounding equipment in the department assigned
- Have a working knowledge of inventory practices
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Perform other related duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift & carry up to 45 kg.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent. College or University is an asset.
- Forklift license/experience is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good mathematical aptitude and computer skills
- Experience with Lean principles is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety Standards
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Dedication to team success, morale, safety, quality and customer satisfaction
Additional Information:
Hours of work: Days/afternoon rotation for training, must be okay working steady midnights
Wage: $21
Location: Windsor-Essex County, ON (located near a bus route)
