Canadian Executive Search is looking for CMM Technicians/Operators to work with our client in Woodbridge, ON.

Competitive hourly pay – DOE

Hours:

Mornings/Afternoons/Nights

Consistent weekly pay; 40+ hours a week

Interpret object blueprints and program the CMM to take accurate measurements

Responsibilities:

• To set up, operate and write program’s for the Coordinate Measuring Machine
• Prepare dimensional reports for PPAP and prototype submissions accurately and on a timely
manner as required
• To perform accurate calibration of all fixtures and keep records of them.
• To create and modify CMM inspection programs for precision machined components, assemblies
and tooling
• To operate other gauges and devices such as Height gauge, etc
• Ensure all parts being measured are identified in a complete and correct fashion and all data are kept up to date as required
• Ensure responsible areas are clean and hazard free at all times
• Following company policies on Health, Safety, Environmental and PPE requirements
Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspect of the job

Requirements: 

• Minimum 2 years experience in the Programming, Setup and Operating of CMM
• Excellent computer skills EXCEL,WORD, AUTOCAD
• Advanced knowledge of CMM with PC DMIS-Rev-3.7 , DATAPAGE, DATAVIEW software
• Excellent knowledge of GD&T and blue print reading
• Strong mathematical knowledge.
• Good working knowledge of various measuring equipment (ie, vernier, micrometer, height gauge,etc)
• Good understanding of Statistical Process Control
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the plant
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in similar capacity in a manufacturing facility.
• Machining back ground (as you may need to repair fixtures).• An automotive back ground as these are car parts and it will help if you know what you’re checking
• Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
• Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
• Ability to work rotating shifts as required and occasional alternative hours, if necessary to meet customer requirements
• Ability to maintain records in an organized and tidy manner
• Ability to utilize problem solving techniques effectively
• Support Quality System and Environmental System Requirements
• Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is
the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition
