CES/ AWS is looking for a CNC Machinist (Wire EDM)
Full-Time/Temp to hire position | $30-$35/hr | Fairview, PA
About the Role
The CNC Machinist (Wire EDM) will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Wire EDM machinery to deliver first-time quality. You’ll work closely with engineering and production leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and optimal machine utilization, including unattended run time.
Key Responsibilities
• Follow router plans and collaborate with engineers when adjustments are needed
• Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM machines using MasterCAM
• Maximize machine utilization and maintain unattended run strategies
• Complete inspection documentation; verify dimensions using precision tools
• Report deviations, errors, and out-of-tolerance conditions
• Maintain schedule adherence and monitor tool inventory
• Keep work area clean, organized, and production-ready
• Support planning activities for routing when needed
• Participate in training, contribute to team motivation, and maintain equipment
• Mandatory overtime and occasional travel when required
Qualifications
• Certification, degree, or equivalent experience in mold manufacturing
• Strong Wire EDM background required
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
• Effective communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
• Comfort in a hands-on manufacturing environment
