CES is now hiring for a Full Time, Upholsterer, ON. For one of our clients in Windsor

 Summary of Job Duties:

  • Perform work so that production requirements are met
  • Keep up to date inventory of all stock and materials and foam
  • Ensure that machine or required tools are set up as per instructions from Plant Manager or Lead Hand
  • Ensure that products are properly handled to prevent damage
  • Ensure that work is being carried out as per work instructions (including quality requirements) and that all work is checked for correctness
  • Ensure that all tools and machinery are respected and used correctly as to prevent damage
  • Ensure work area including machine and floor are cleaned upon completion of use
  • Immediately notify Supervisor of any non-conforming material or product
  • Ensure that our product is packaged and loaded correctly to avoid damage
  • Ensure all finished goods when packaged have job numbers clearly marked with description of contents for identification purposes

Requirements:

  • Experience in woodworking environment an asset
  • Commercial Sew Maching
  • Familiar with commercial Upholstery
  • Experience with Fabrics, Vinyl and leather
  • Reading Blueprints, measuring tape and handle Various tools
  • Experience prototyping seating
  • Able to make patterns and templates

Additional Information:

  • Ability to work 5 days per week (Saturdays as needed), Min. 40 hours
  • Ability to bend/stretch/reach during the duration of the shift
  • Strong attention to detail/quality, and safety orientated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
  • Own transportation, but is located on a bus route
  • Safety shoes, safety glasses and a mask are a must

Wage: Full Time: $18.84/hour
