Start: ASAP
Pay Rate: $26.00 to $36 per Hour
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00am to 2:30 pm or 4:30pm (Monday to Saturday)
The Purpose of the Position:
The Electrician position will work with a team of electricians or independently to build quality products and
systems focused on meeting project’s scope of work, budgets and timing. This position ensures the assigned
work is completed in a safe and timely manner and meets customer’s expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Wire automation equipment from engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and customer
specifications.
o Wire components per schematic drawings
o Inspect, test, debug and tryout assemblies per specifications
o Troubleshoot, problem solving skills and repair issues
• Understand and apply blueprint schematics, technical diagrams and product data sheets
• Use testing devices to identify and fix electrical problems
• Use hand and power tools
• Selects and installs type and size of electrical support components and related materials such as
supports, brackets, hangers, clamps, etc. according to job specifications
• Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies
• Observes and complies with all safety and project rules, policies and procedures
• Improves electrical job knowledge by attending training sessions; reading technical publications
• Support a continuous improvement culture throughout the department to simplify the processes,
and continuous improvement of deliverables to internal and external customers
• Provides guidance to find solutions and assist in resolving issues pertaining to job performance
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities pertaining to the on-
time delivery and quality/accuracy of work
• Drive and support quality assurance efforts
• Support Lean & ISO requirements
• Adhere to all GUS policies and procedures including safety
• Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Training & Experience:
• High School Diploma
• 5+ years’ experience electrician experience
• Strong electrical blueprint schematic reading
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD Viewer software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
• Proficient knowledge of wiring techniques
• Advanced organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and listening skills
• Demonstrated experience working with MS Office products
• Proficient reading, oral, and written English language skills
• Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong relationship building skills and team player
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
• Associates Degree from an accredited College
• Journeyman Status or related trade instruction certificate
