Position Overview:
As the EHS Manager, you will oversee our comprehensive Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security program. Reporting to General Manager, you will be a crucial member of our team, ensuring our operations align with rigorous regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training modules to meet stringent regulatory and corporate requirements, including United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
- Champion continuous improvement by providing comprehensive training on EHS programs, policies, and procedures to all employees.
- Lead the development and implementation of an ISO 14001-compliant environmental management system.
- Coordinate facility-wide recycling and waste disposal programs, optimizing sustainability efforts.
- Facilitate safety and environmental committees and specialized EHS teams.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, DHS, and others.
- Drive incident investigations, identify root causes, and track corrective actions for timely resolution.
- Manage and oversee emergency response teams, maintaining their readiness at all times.
Implement rigorous risk reduction activities, 5S requirements, and departmental audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Studies, Natural Sciences, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in OSHA, EPA, DHS, United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and state regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software package, SAP experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are essential.
- Certified OSHA Trainer designation is a plus.
- RCRA Hazardous Waste Certification and DOT Hazardous Materials Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with EHS Data Management Software, such as Gensuite, is beneficial.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards implementation
