Canadian Executive Search Group (CES/AWS) is currently seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician for a 3rd Shift Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a leading manufacturing facility in Warren, MI. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery and production equipment with minimal supervision
- Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic equipment repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical drawings
- Replace electrical and electronic components as needed
- Perform machine rebuilds, installations, alignments, and equipment modifications
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits up to 110 volts
- Use precision measuring tools including calipers, dial indicators, and electrical meters
- Maintain print tolerances and industry standards during repairs and equipment assembly
- Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs and spare parts inventory
- Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs
- Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with new equipment installations
Qualifications
- Journeyman’s Card or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a Maintenance Technician aptitude test
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder diagrams (or willingness to learn)
- Familiarity with industrial machinery, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and plant equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to safety
