Canadian Executive Search Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional for a local Manufacturer
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 planning, procedures, work instructions and audits
– Performing environment and waste management control, in accordance with ISO45001/OHSAS 18001 procedures and work instructions including identification, tracking and reduction of environmental waste and waste costs
– Plan and implement actions necessary to protect, maintain and improve environmental standards
– Identify the HSE training needs of all employees in co-operation with the Human Resources Department with respect to legislation and the company’s requirements
-Emergency Plan, Emergency Response Team, Joint Health and Safety Committee,
– HSE plant and corporate reports
-Collaborate with all employees; Management, Engineering, Human Resources, Corporate HSE, Union and Contractors
-Investigate and implement corrective and preventative action regarding health and safety incidents
-Conduct safety sign-offs on all new and reworked manufacturing equipment
-Contractor Program and process
– Reports health, safety and environmental performance.
-Identifying, managing and solving risks or concerns
-Meet legislative (MOL, MOE, WSIB, Municipal Regulations)
– Managing workplace injury prevention plan, injury/near miss incidents,
– WSIB Claims Review and Cost Management -Filing reports of injury, identifying appeal issues, drafting letters of objection
-Comply with WSIB reporting and regulation and manager activities including developing, implementing
-Supports the Location/Plant Managers in their legal duties to identify general and specific security risks, including information security, to establish and maintain security on the site and to resolve local security related incidents.
– ln this role he/she is independent and reports to Plant management.
– The role does include especially the following tasks and responsibility:
-Implement and ensure compliance in location with security function related policies, standards and processes provided by company
-Participate in and support of staff awareness and training activities/campaigns. Provide guidance to the location, employees and external business partners about general security, information security and production security.
-Respond to and manage security incidents.
-Reports on significant security incidents to the local management level and to respective security functions.
-Maintenance and further development of the security management systems that are applicable for the site.
– Effectively manage labour relations in alignment with plant labour strategies/plans
– Implement company labour strategies through collaboration with the union representatives, including negotiations, interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements, dispute resolution; grievance and arbitration administration
– Knowledgeable in their duties and responsibilities in accordance with l provincial and federal legislation
-Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16494
