Location: Markham, ON

Pay: $18.00/hour (+ Shift Premiums)

Start Date: Immediate

Shifts:(Straight Shift)

  • Afternoons: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
  • Nights:  11:00 pm – 7:00 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in your work area 
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment under general supervision 
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner and immediately report any deficiencies Accurately posts production info into EPICS 
  • Monitor and maintain all bath temperatures and levels 
  • Prior to lifting the load with the hoist, ascertain that the load can be safely processed through the  anodizing line and is racked in such a manner that our quality standards will be met Guarantees a quality finished product by strictly adhering to all steps of the anodizing process Safely and effectively transports loads through all required process baths and rinse tanks Compare products to colour range samples (as required) 
  • Visually checks finished material for conformance 
  • As required, provide training to new and/or junior employees with a focus on performing work in  a safe, efficient, and quality minded manner 
  • Assist other departments as needed 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma

Technical Skills/Competence  

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds 
  • Manual dexterity 
  • Operate required tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner 
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in the performance of work Attention to detail and a critical eye for identifying defects and subtle colour differences Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Commitment to quality and safety 
  • Ability to interface with EPICS 
  • Good command of the English language 
  • Ability to understand written and oral work instructions 
  • Treats fellow team members and management respectfully
  • Ability to work without direct supervision 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is ideal but not necessary 
  • Standard knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)  Demonstrates a high energy level and positive attitude while showing genuine interest in what we do Willingness to learn
