HR Coordinator

Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

The HR Coordinator will support and lead key human resources functions for hourly personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong knowledge of HR laws, employee relations, payroll processes, and talent acquisition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead talent acquisition and talent management activities for hourly employees (temporary and direct hire), including pre-employment and onboarding processes

  • Manage onboarding, orientation, transfers, exits, and assignment changes

  • Maintain and update HR databases, hiring systems, and organizational changes

  • Generate HR reports and metrics using HRIS systems

  • Maintain employee personnel records and bulletin board materials

  • Support employee engagement initiatives

  • Respond to daily employee HR inquiries

  • Assist with workplace investigations and administer discipline as needed

  • Support union job postings and bidding processes, including communication of successful bids

  • Administer HR policies and programs including FMLA, disability, tuition reimbursement, safety, and workplace conduct

  • Manage and complete hourly payroll and attendance processes

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a related field or equivalent education and experience

  • Strong understanding of HR laws including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, ADEA, NLRA, ERISA, OSHA, and FLSA

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads and multitask effectively

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • SAP or other HRIS experience preferred
