Education: Post-secondary school certificate, diploma or degree in Human Resource Studies
Experience: 5 years’ experience in a unionized, manufacturing environment
Knowledge of legislation such as ESA, OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights
Knowledge of IATF and ISO14001 standards
Experience in Ceridian is an asset.
Skills: Organizational and time management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills

Job Responsibilities
As a key member of the Management Team, the Human Resources Manager
manages the day-to-day activities of the employee life cycle from recruitment,
onboarding, development, retention and offboarding. In addition, the HR
Manager will also engage in cross -functional duties related to benefits
administration, employee and labour relations, and wellness and safety.
• Risk management and compliance with regulatory bodies and legislation
• Lead the Human Resources and EHS disciplines.
• Assist managers with associated tracking of goals and objectives.
• Administer and manage company group benefits program and other related programs.
• Assist with training and individual development plans
• Assist with the development and continual improvement of the global HR
standards and procedures
• Collective Agreement administration, labour relations and contract negotiations
• Assist managers with the Performance Management process
• Investigate workplace incidences, violence and harassment complaints.
• Foster a positive team environment
