Qualifications:
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Electrical Certificate of Qualification (309A or 442A).
- A minimum of two years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems.
Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
- Installing, inspecting, replacing, or repairing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and diligently maintaining maintenance records to identify potential design weaknesses.
- Coordinating the activities of apprentices, helpers, and assigned contractors.
- Providing support for cross-functional equipment repairs involving Electrical, Mechanical, and Tooling aspects, ensuring safety is a top priority.
- Troubleshooting safety devices and equipment using software with encoder feedback.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and related devices.
- Proficiently programming and troubleshooting Fanuc Robots and Lincoln Power Sources, with a solid understanding of the grounding circuit of a Robotic weld cell.
- Skillfully installing, aligning, dismantling, and relocating stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Operating lifting devices such as overhead bridge cranes, fork/combi-lifts, scissor lifts, and genie booms, as required.
- Demonstrating flexibility in working all shifts to meet operational requirements.
