Canadian Executive search group is seeking an experienced Machinist for a local Windsor client
- $27 – $30 to start
- Temp to perm position. Hired on after contracted hours
- Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.
- Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, Vernier, and fixed gauges.
- Must have own tools, Micrometer up to 3”, Interapid indicator, dial indicator, 6” Vernier, Telescope gages, adjustable wrench, Allen wrench set Metric/standard, machinist Stone, indicating chair, edge finder.
- Recognize the functions of the specific Controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.
- Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.
- Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience for the wage mentioned above (willing to look at candidates with less experience but wage will change)
- Custom Fabrication experience a must.
- Knowledge of GD&T an asset.
