CES is now looking for a Maintenance Department Leader for a client in the London-Metro area. Be part of a global organization and automotive industry leader! This is a direct hire opportunity.  The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of related experience in the automotive industry.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee, schedule and plan maintenance
  • Coordinate daily maintenance tasks and ensure tasks are completed accurately
  • Ensure all repairs and equipment meet health and safety standards
  • Conduct regular follow ups with maintenance and production to make sure all plant equipment is operational and efficient
  • Conduct regular inspections
  • Ensure short- and long-term planning is established within the department and targets are achieved
  • Operating and capital budge planning, manpower planning, cost reduction planning
  • Ensure quality, health and safety requirements/guidelines are being followed
  • Lead launch and process teams
  • Lead and support continuous improvement 5S
  • Ensure employees are in compliance with company code of conduct, taking corrective action as needed to those who are not following all policies and procedures
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, addressing any issues that need to be resolved and offering strategies
  • Provide job counselling and performance feedback
  • Direct all personnel in a professional, non discriminatory manner, offering positive reinforcement and support

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in Engineering or Maintenance related program
  • At least 7+ years of related experience in a leadership role in the automotive industry
  • 7+ years maintenance leadership role
