A leading provider of advanced warehousing and sequencing solutions for the automotive industry is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team in Kansas City, KS. Key Responsibilities

  • Support production teams by identifying and eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap using data-driven methods.

  • Develop and maintain Process Flows, PFMEAs, Standard Operating Procedures, and Line Balancing documentation.

  • Ensure labor standards are achieved through effective assembly practices and ergonomic design.

  • Implement and sustain error-proofing and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Optimize cell layouts and update CAD layouts as needed.

  • Lead or support engineering and maintenance projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

  • Prepare cost estimates and documentation for engineering changes.

  • Address product, process, and system nonconformances with corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all engineering activities.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and basic understanding of PLC systems.

  • Skilled in time studies and labor analysis techniques.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and management tools.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities.

Additional Requirements

  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking in office and manufacturing settings.

  • Ability to perform computer-based tasks for extended periods.

  • Up to 20% travel required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.
