Our client in the cabinetry industry has an IMMEDIATE opening for a MATERIAL HANDLER/WAREHOUSE WORKER (not 100% on a forklift, you will assist in the warehouse)

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the incumbent will work in a department capacity, responsible for receiving product and sorting and maintaining inventory in accordance with product specifications, special requests.  This requires a high level of interaction and support to customers and vendors as well as staff.

Responsibilities:

possess beginner to advanced knowledge of shipping and receiving and material handling process and procedures

knowledge of safe operation of general hand and power tools

knowledge of safe advanced operations of machinery and equipment

inspect and verify qualify of finished products and accurate product count for delivery, comparing to supporting order and delivery paperwork

unload and receive product into shipping and receiving warehouse, maintaining efficient storage

sort and organize product throughout shipping and receiving department, maintaining proper inventory levels in the manufacturing and finishing departments

gather necessary materials to create rainbow stacks, as well as miscellaneous moldings and other products for specific or speciality jobs

document and report defects, errors and discrepancies for repair

transfer or load finished product with extreme care to storage

material management (materials low or missing)

complete required reports/administrative work immediately and as required

Other Requirements:

ability to work in a quality, results driven and fast paced work environment

ability to team lift and load heavy objects, up to 50 lbs

ability to work in hot and humid and cold work environments

physically demanding

ability to work extended hours or weekends, when required

CSA steel toed construction grade safety shoes

reliable transportation

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent)

extensive vocations, technical woodworking

valid lift truck training and certification

ability to understand and interpret engineering and technical drawings

strong mathematical knowledge (there is a practical test)

ability to read and take accurate measurements

Wage Range:  Competitive Wage, benefits commensurate following successful completion of probationary period, value added perks

the intention is a TEMP to PERM position (meaning you would work a minimum # of hours on the CES payroll, before transitioning to our clients payroll)

Shifts:  this is a continental shift (must be able to work 6:00 am – 6:00 pm), and every other weekend
