CES/AWS is looking for a Non Destructive Testing Technician for a Tooling Industrial  Manufacturing client

Location: Waukesha, WI
Shifts: 1st shift 6am-2:30pm
Compensation: $25-$30 + Full Benefits

Die Penetrant Inspection (LPI):

  • •    Perform all duties and operations necessary to inspect castings
  • •    Using the liquid penetrant testing methods and procedures
  • •    Maintain inspection records as required by procedures

Magnetic Particle (Mag):

  • •    Perform all duties and operations necessary to inspect castings
  • •    Using the magnetic particle testing methods and procedures
  • •    Maintain inspection records as required by procedures

Radiography (XRAY):

  • •    Perform full scope of RT duties (shoot, develop film, interpret, completion of certifications, and development of techniques)
  • •    Communicate with radiographers on other shifts to ensure work is smoothly picked up where left off
  • •    Ensure consumables (ex: film) are ordered and received for upcoming jobs
  • •    Maintain Film Processing equipment

Inspection of High Integrity Castings:

  • •    Hardness Testing (Brinnel)
  • •    Ultrasonic / Thickness testing
  • •    PMI verification, as required by customer
  • •    Scanning of Dimensions on Tooling and Defense Castings
  • •    Visual inspection and disposition of high integrity castings, referencing drawings and utilizing measurement tools 
  • •    Create dimensional reports, including verification of First Article Castings
  • •    Work with source inspectors as they verify dimensional inspection

General:

  • •    LPI: Must have minimum of 400 hours of experience in Liquid penetrant inspection / 32 hours formal classroom training/Must pass internal tests (General, Specific, Practical).
  • •    MT: Must have minimum of 530 hours experience in Magnetic Particle inspection / 32 hours formal classroom training / Must pass internal tests (General, Specific,    Practical ). 
  • •    XRAY: Must have a certification as an Industrial Radiographer.
  • •    Safe operation of hoist
  • •    Safe operation of forklift
  • •    Read and understand master sheets
  • •    Read measuring devices
  • •    Use basic arithmetic functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide
  • •    Work safely in a team environment
  • •    Maintain proper housekeeping for work area
  • •    Other duties as assigned by supervisor
