CES is looking for Packaging Supervisor for one of our Clients Windsor, Ontario

 

Job Description – Packaging Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time | In-person

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor or team lead overseeing team members in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to work shift work
  • Experience with Lean principles is desirable
  • Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety Standards
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience with high volume production machinery ● Excellent problem solving skills
  • Dedication to team success, morale, safety, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Secondary education or relevant experience

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating on continuous improvement teams
  • Providing leadership and direction to team members while also seeking to empower them
  • Ensure team members are trained sufficiently
  • Ensure all team members follow the company health and safety standards as well as the requirements of the Occupational health and safety act as it applies to the manufacturing sector
  • Responsible for shift planning which includes team member work assignments, training, vacation, overtime and backing up team members
  • Coordinating start up meetings and shift shutdowns and changeovers
  • Attaining shift production goals
  • Working within and supporting standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for quality control and making adjustments within the shift to ensure products are manufactured within specification

 

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle or feel materials and equipment.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend overtime may be required
  • Steady midnight shift; must be available to work all shifts as required.

 

Wage: $25-$35/hr
