On behalf of our Client, a multi-faceted supplier of quality interior and exterior accessory components for the automotive industry, Canadian Executive Search Group is seeking full-time Plant Utility Worker.

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Whitby, ON

Shift: Full-time! Days/Afternoons rotation OR Straight Midnights (Must be flexible)

Wage:  $19.85/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Rebuild/clean, assemble/disassemble spray guns.
  • Daily maintenance, sweeping, mopping and use of floor scrubber to ensure cleanliness of shop floor as needed while being conscientious of safety requirements.
  • General maintenance responsibilities, ensuring proper lighting in work cells, snow blowing/salting parking lot and other areas when necessary, painting as required by facility needs.
  • Cleaning facility spills with approved Spill Kits
  • Operating of Fork Lift, loaders, and mobile equipment
  • Inventory (receipt, count, placing in correct location, removal from truck, sign for receipt of, confirmation of receipt of stated delivered items)
  • Complete weekly inventory
  • Daily FIFO of all materials
  • Receiving and FIFO all purchased materials for production
  • Store and date all incoming materials to ensure FIFO
  • Ensuring receipt of quality product
  • Disposing of trash into compactor during production as needed
  • Changing of ISO and Resin totes as needed
  • Assist maintenance staff as needed
  • Use of tools ranging from common hand and power tools, hammers, saws, drills and wrenches
  • Other manual labour as requested by supervisor or manager.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required, based on production demands.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Shirt Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Must have excellent organization skills
  • Previous inventory experience as asset
  • Must have a maintain valid Driver’s license
  • Must have a valid Fork Lift license
  • Knowledge of 5s and housekeeping initiatives
