Production Department Supervisor – $45,000-$50,000 DOE

Canadian Executive Search Group, a division of Arrow Workforce Solutions, is currently hiring 1st shift Production Department Supervisor for our client in Columbia, TN

Location: Columbia, TN

Shifts: 

  • 1st shift – 6:30am-4pm (Monday-Friday) sometimes until 5:30pm

Job Description:  The Foam Department Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production operations within manufacturing plant. This position requires active involvement on the production floor, leading a team of employees while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and policy compliance standards are consistently met.

Pay Rate: 

  • $45,000-$50,000 DOE

Job Duties:

  • Train operators to run the machines
  • Become forklift certified
  • Make sure work orders are out for production to work on
  • Adhere to our shipping days for customers and make sure their product is ready to ship
  • Follow quality SOPs and ensure everyone in the department is following them
  • Ensure operators are using the correct materials in production
  • Make daily and weekly time corrections for your employees in KRONOS
  • Ensure the department follows 5s requirements
  • Complete workorders after production has run them
  • Ensure employees are working safely in the department
  • Ensure you are meeting your KPIs
  • Minor repair to the dies we use when needed
  • Hold your employees accountable for their actions through disciplinary actions when needed
  • Work with the customer service department for customer needs
  • Work well with others
  • Be a leader
  • Make decisions

Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, non-climate-controlled production facility (hot summers, cold winters)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage employees effectively
  • Ability to enforce company policies, including attendance and dress code standards
  • Experience performing quality inspections and ensuring production standards are met
  • Willingness to learn and operate all machinery within the foam department
  • Strong communication skills and ability to participate in daily and weekly meetings
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a production environment
