Canadian Executive Search Group (USA) is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for an Automotive Manufacturing client in the Ontario area.

Location: Windsor, Ontario
Schedule: Full Time/3rd shift (midnight)

Compensation: $65k-$70k

Objective:

Working closely with the shift supervisor to help manage the floor. Play a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing processes, particularly focusing on injection molding. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive production, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Floor Management: Be actively present on the production floor, ensuring seamless operations and addressing any challenges that may arise.
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain a smooth workflow, meeting quality and efficiency standards.
  • Injection Molding Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of injection molding processes to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to injection molding to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by engaging with team members and providing hands-on leadership.
  • Performance Management: Manage and lead a diverse team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to enhance individual and collective performance.
  • Implement performance metrics to track and improve team efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of injection molding processes.
  • Strong understanding of union dynamics and experience in managing within a unionized environment.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
