Our client is seeking a permanent, Production Supervisor to work in the CK area

Salary: $60,000 – $65, 000/annum (overtime after 44/week)

Shift – Afternoon (but need to be flexible to work other shifts), in the event coverage is needed on the other two shifts

Reporting to:  Production Manager

Qualifications:
Education: Post-Secondary school certificate, diploma or degree preferably in the Principles of  Industrial Supervision or related field or equivalent experience

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

To qualify:

Working in a unionized environment is an asset
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Surface Mount Technology experience is an asset
Injection Mold Technology experience is an asset
Weld processing and Stamping experience is an asset

Training: Training requirements and courses will be specified on the training matrix.
Safety Responsibilities:
 Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including but not limited to all requirements outlined in Sections 27 and 28
 Review, understand, enforce and comply with all policies and procedures
 Participate as required, during emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team.
 Participate as required in incident / accident investigations

Quality Responsibilities:
 Maintain quality standards on all products and processes to ensure manufacturing with zero defect
methodology
 Ensure proper training is given to all employees and quality alerts are adhered to by all employees to reduce
quality concerns and protect our customers
 Ensure that employees have received training from the appropriate personnel to reduce quality concerns
 Exercise compliance with Quality Management Systems when implementing and performing all company
procedures
Environmental Responsibilities:
 Integrate environmental practices and commit to the continuous improvement of the EMS
 Exercise compliance with ISO 14001 standards

General Responsibilities:
 Direct supervision of hourly work force to maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs
 Ensure adherence to the production schedule
 Ensure personnel issues are dealt with in timely manner, including disciplinary actions
 Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all production reporting requirements
 Ensure accuracy of process parameters to maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs
 Complete workplace inspections and process audits as required and corrective actions are implemented
 Meet or exceed all production, safety and quality goals through continuous improvement
 Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required
 Conduct themselves in a manner that promotes harmonious relations with all employees and management
 Comply with all company policies and procedures
 All other duties as assigned by management
