CES is seeking an experienced Supervisor for a London client

Afternoon shift 3-11pm

Oversee and ensure the smooth flow of designated plant operations including; employee safety / performance, meeting product quality and timelines of production to support customer delivery requirements, adherence to policies, procedures, quality management system requirements (ISO/TS16949,ISO14001), or other applicable regulations Identify and champion through to completion continuous improvements relating to cost, quality, inventory availability, people, and processes Provide leadership by promoting, setting example, and providing Team Leaders with guidance that supports team effort, operational visions, values, goals
Effective coordination of tooling and maintenance activities to optimize machine up-time and efficiency Effective coordination of tooling and maintenance activities to optimize machine efficiency
Provide leadership to the department’s personnel and assign work responsibilities to press and CNC employees

Other Responsibilities

Promote and support the company’s operational visions, values, goals and behaviours Participate in company programs including G&O, 5S, Kaizen, meetings, training, etc. Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals Active leader in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings Manage department personnel including daily workflow, development, and performance management Conduct all work activities in a manner that is supportive of team effort Adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulations Participate in the company’s health, safety, environmental, and operational programs Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, or his/her designate

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Completion of high school Post-secondary certificate in Tool & Die or CNC Programming considered a definite asset
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a fast paced, automotive manufacturing environment Forklift License required Leadership experience is an asset Mechanical aptitude
Must be able to read a blueprint
Knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and scanners
Experience in CNC machining, stamping press and/ or manufacturing environment Must be able to work necessary overtime if required
