We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our client’s team in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a 2nd shift leadership opportunity with strong potential for permanent hire. If you have a solid manufacturing background and are passionate about leading teams, driving quality, and improving production processes, this role is for you.
Position Overview
The Gear Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations, coordinating employee activities, and ensuring quality, safety, and performance standards are met. This role plays a key part in continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high production efficiency.
 Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise employee activities on the production floor

Support and enforce quality system standards

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Kanban)

Maintain customer quality requirements and implement corrective actions
-
Monitor attendance and maintain timekeeping/production records
-
Maintain discipline, housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance standards

Lead and support process improvement projects
-
Respond to and resolve employee concerns
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business OR minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience

Knowledge of machine set-up

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, Kanban)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to lead projects and drive results
-
Self-motivated with strong leadership ability
-
Excellent attendance record
-
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Ability to travel occasionally for training or customer/supplier meetings

Must pass drug screen and background check
