Canadian Executive Search Group (USA), a division of Arrow Workforce Solutions has an immediate opening for a Production team leader opening in the Chattanooga, TN area for a Nation-leading Manufacturing client.

Location: Chattanooga, TN
Shift: Day & Night 1st, 2nd and 3rd (2nd shift with a premium + 2.00)
Start: ASAP – DIRECT HIRE – FULLTIME
Pay Rate: STARTING $21.00-$23.00 HR Full Benefits + OT AVAILABLE

SUMMARY:
The Production Team Leader will ensure manpower is properly distributed and that all safety, quality, productivity and cost targets are met daily. The position will also provide leadership for the Production Teams Associates and ensure their focus and resources are utilized efficiently. The Lead must keep the Supervisor informed of all significant activities, and of performance within the Production Department

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
• Monitor Andon occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
• Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, and smoothly, and producing quality parts
• Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level of the organization
• Provide the team with guidance and recognition
• Build Team Leaders and Team Member Capabilities
• Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
• Handle the basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and corresponding documents
• Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
• Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
• Support concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality department, production, and suppliers

The minimum requirements we seek:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months or more of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Our preferred requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Successful leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
• Production, Safety and Quality experience
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with constraint management principles
• Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
