CES/AWS is looking for a Quality Inspector in the Lombard, IL area.

- Pay: $60k-$80k
- Shifts: M-F, 7am-3:30pm
Overview
We are seeking a Quality Inspector with strong metrology and aerospace quality experience to support inspection, documentation, and compliance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to work independently while ensuring products meet strict industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections using CMM and a wide range of manual metrology tools.

Interpret and apply GD&T to verify part conformance.

Ensure inspection activities comply with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality system requirements.

Document inspection results accurately and maintain clear, organized records.

Support aerospace manufacturing processes by verifying materials, components, and assemblies meet required specifications.

Identify nonconformities and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams.

Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes as needed.

Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
Qualifications

Hands-on experience with CMM inspection and manual metrology tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparators).

Strong knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.

Background in aerospace manufacturing, compliance, and documentation.

Solid understanding of GD&T and basic metallurgy principles.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
