Canadian Executive Search Group is looking for a qualified Refrigeration Technician  for Woodstock and the surrounding area.  Please look through the duties listed below and submit your resume if you are interested.


Duties/Responsibilities: * indicates essential function of the job

  • Repair all refrigeration equipment as needed with little or no direction from Facilities Maintenance Manager. Recognize when a repair is beyond scope of ability and request assistance from Facilities Maintenance Manager and/or outside contractor.*
  • Complete the Preventative Maintenance on refrigeration equipment as assigned by Facilities Maintenance Manager.*
  • Carry out quality inspections on refrigeration equipment as per TSSA requirements.*
  • Safely evacuate all freon equipment as needed to perform general maintenance requirements.*
  • Responsible for 24-hour on call service as scheduled.*
  • Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.*
  • Responsible for alerting the Facilities Maintenance Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.*
  • Follow all safety procedures and programs per company policies. This could include but is not limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Hot Work, Fall Protection and any other safety procedures necessary to complete work assignments safely.*
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations.*
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
  • Schedule work day in a time effective manner keeping in mind daily required activities as well as short and long term projects.
  • Diagnose all electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues on equipment in the facility. Order parts through Facilities Maintenance Manager as needed to repair breakdowns.
  • Perform all repairs on buildings, equipment and tools as needed. Communicate maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
  • Coordinate special projects as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
  • Maintain maintenance shop cleanliness, tool inventory and parts inventory as instructed by Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Responsible for the housekeeping and sanitation of the interior and exterior of the building in accordance with food grade warehouse parameters.
  • Maintain high level of attendance, report for work on time daily. Work overtime as required.
  • Comply with all OSHA Standards and utilize the MSDS as needed. Comply with all Company work rules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and work area to meet sanitation standards of Company, adhere to all Good Warehousing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines.
  • Comply with all HACCP guidelines and control points.
