CES/AWS is looking for a Machinist in the Lombard, IL area.

- Pay: up to $45/ HR
- Shifts: M-F, 7am-3:30pm
Overview
We are seeking a high-level Machinist to join our team. This role requires advanced CNC skills, experience with large-part machining, and a strong understanding of regulated aerospace-quality environments. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who contributes to process improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines for precision machining.

Assist with CNC programming adjustments and optimize machining parameters.

Machine large, complex parts while maintaining tight tolerances.

Safely rig, lift, and move large components using hoists, cranes, and other lifting equipment.

Follow and support AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards and documentation.

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Identify and resolve machining issues, contributing to continuous production improvement.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to enhance processes and reduce downtime.
Qualifications

High-level CNC machining experience, including setup and troubleshooting.

Background in aerospace or similarly regulated industries (AS9100 / ISO 9001).

Experience machining and handling very large parts.

Proficient with rigging, hoists, and cranes for safe material movement.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
