Position Overview:
We are seeking a safety-conscious and detail-oriented Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our
warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have recent forklift experience, strong knowledge of
loading and unloading flatbed trailers, and the ability to pick orders accurately using a scan gun
or paper pick list. This role requires precision, adherence to safety guidelines, and a strong work
ethic.
Requirements (Must Meet to Interview):
● Minimum 1 year of recent sit-down forklift operation experience (within the
last 2 years).
● FL active certification.
● Proven experience loading and unloading flatbed trailers.
● Experience picking orders using a scan gun or paper list while operating a
forklift.
● At least 1 year of warehouse experience (lumber yard or shipping company
experience is a plus).
● Must be safety-minded and willing to follow warehouse safety rules and best
practices.
Key Responsibilities:
● Inspect flatbed trailers prior to loading to ensure readiness.
● Follow trailer weight distribution guidelines to determine proper product
placement (training provided).
● Ensure heavy products are never placed on top of lighter products.
● Secure piece-pick bundles on loads:
● Place between stacks whenever possible.
● Properly strap to stacks if not strapped by carrier.
● Ensure stacks do not exceed maximum height allowances per Department of
Transportation (DOT) regulations.
● Verify that all picked products are loaded onto the trailer before dispatch.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

● Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting as needed.
