CES is now hiring Skilled Electricians on behalf of one of our clients in Windsor ON.
This is a full-time position leading to a permanent placement.
Responsibilities
* Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of the CSA, UL, the customer and the company.
* Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
* Install and test electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and related components.
* Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
* Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
* Provide technical assistance in the installation of the controls, electrical equipment and pneumatic systems at the customer’s site, when such activity is required, demonstrate the uses of equipment, as built, to the customer’s personnel.
* Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as well as conduct preventive maintenance programs, keeping maintenance records.
* Provide the Controls Engineering department with the operational data and the other technical information relating to the controls, the electrical components and the equipment and to recommend modifications in design or process when required.
* Provide assistance in related functions as required or as directed and perform other duties as directed by Leadership.
* Has the authority and obligation to stop production in case unsafe working condition are observed and notify Supervision as well as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Qualifications
*Post-secondary electrical engineering technician or technologist diploma or equivalent formalized study.
*An Industrial Electrician’s license issued by the applicable province or state.
* Previous experience related to inspection, testing and assembly equipment and related automation systems.
*Strong ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams as applicable to electrical systems and programmable logic controllers.
* Ability to work well with others in a team-based work environment as well as independently.

*Wage dependent on experience.
