Job Summary:
As the Program Manager for our plastic components division, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the successful execution of automotive manufacturing projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all programs related to plastic component manufacturing are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, production, and supply chain, to achieve project objectives and maintain seamless communication with our valued clients.
Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of automotive manufacturing projects specializing in plastic components. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality benchmarks. Work with tool shops and design shops as part of the process
• Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements, and acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Address client concerns promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and production teams to define project scope, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes. Facilitate effective communication among team members to drive project progress.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all plastic components meet strict quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process. Work closely with quality team on PPAP process.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently to optimize productivity and meet project demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
• Reporting: Generate regular progress reports, project status updates, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders. Report out on gate reviews for timing and hand off assembly or machine build launch equipment to product and engineering teams for initiation and review
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, project management, or relevant roles within the automotive manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on plastic components.
• Client-Focused: Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering customer-centric solutions.
