Job Title: Supply Chain Buyer
Location: Tilbury, ON

We seek an experienced Buyer to manage the sourcing and procurement of packaging and ingredients essential for production. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about supply chain excellence within the Food and beverage manufacturing industry, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and favorable terms.
- Collaborate with customer procurement teams to understand specifications and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Work with production planning and inventory teams to support production schedules and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Analyze supplier performance and implement improvement plans using metrics and scorecards.
- Resolve supply issues, including delays or quality concerns, promptly and effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for new materials and product sourcing in alignment with R&D.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards in procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets and financial accruals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing, Process Improvement, Materials Management, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Supply Chain Certification is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively in group settings.
