Our client, in the trucking industry is seeking a Warehouse Associate & Equipment Installer
Location: Tilbury, ON
Start Date: Immediate
Wages: $22.00/hour (no DZ licence), $24.00/our (DZ licence)
Role Summary:
The Warehouse Associate and Equipment Installer is responsible for ensuring safe and timely
preparation of orders, offloading trucks, and conducting and conducting customers deliveries when
required.
This position is also responsible for installing and maintaining equipment at customer sites which include
tanks and dispensing management systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Warehouse:
Pick, pack and stage order to load on trucks.
Organize stock and maintain inventory of products.
Inspect products for defects and damages.
Examine inbound and outbound shipments.
Organize warehouse space.
Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
Ensure accurate recording of receipts, deliveries, inventory, and invoicing.
Tank and Equipment Installation:
Deliver install and set-up customer tanks, pumps, etc. (as required).
Ensure all installations meet applicable codes.
Tank and Equipment Maintenance:
Identify, document, and report any equipment deficiencies.
Promptly respond to service calls.
Maintain records of customer loaned equipment and ensure that office is updated about it
accurately.
Repair loaned equipment, diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions and
produce timely and detailed service reports.
Other duties may be required from time to time.
Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma required.
DZ certification is an asset.
Minimum 5 years (driving with a license)
Forklift experience is required.
Mechanical aptitude is required.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess a clean driver’s ‘abstract’.
Must always present a professional image.
Willing to be certified to operate a boom truck.
Excellent customer service skills.
Other:
Ability to work independently or within a small and cohesive team.
Ability and willingness to work in all-weather situations.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; position requires frequent bending and moving heavy loads.
Mechanical inclination is required.
