HR Generalist

AWS/CES is looking for an HR Generalist for our automotive manufacturing client

  • Location: Napoleon, OH
  • Pay rate: up to $27.00/hr.
  • Shift: 7am-3pm
  • Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support daily human resources operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will play a key part in talent acquisition, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance, while helping to foster an engaged and high-performing workforce.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly personnel, including temporary and direct hires, onboarding, and internal mobility
  • Manage HR administrative functions including onboarding, orientation, transfers, and offboarding processes
  • Maintain and update HRIS systems and employee lifecycle data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports to support business decisions
  • Maintain employee personnel records and internal communications (e.g., bulletin boards, updates)
  • Support and drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, policies, and procedures
  • Support union-related processes, including job postings, bidding, and candidate selection communication
  • Administer HR programs such as FMLA, disability, tuition reimbursement, and workplace policies
  • Manage payroll and attendance tracking for hourly employees
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, ADEA, NLRA, ERISA, OSHA, and FLSA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with SAP or other HRIS systems preferred
