AWS/CES is looking for an HR Generalist for our automotive manufacturing client

- Pay rate: up to $27.00/hr.
- Shift: 7am-3pm

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support daily human resources operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will play a key part in talent acquisition, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance, while helping to foster an engaged and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly personnel, including temporary and direct hires, onboarding, and internal mobility
- Manage HR administrative functions including onboarding, orientation, transfers, and offboarding processes
- Maintain and update HRIS systems and employee lifecycle data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports to support business decisions
- Maintain employee personnel records and internal communications (e.g., bulletin boards, updates)
- Support and drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Recommend and implement process improvements, policies, and procedures
- Support union-related processes, including job postings, bidding, and candidate selection communication
- Administer HR programs such as FMLA, disability, tuition reimbursement, and workplace policies
- Manage payroll and attendance tracking for hourly employees
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, ADEA, NLRA, ERISA, OSHA, and FLSA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with SAP or other HRIS systems preferred
