Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production operations, lead production teams, and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are achieved. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production operations and ensure production goals are met.
- Monitor quality, productivity, safety, and delivery performance.
- Manage staffing levels and employee assignments based on production needs.
- Lead and coach production teams, GAP Leaders, and operators.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, TPM, SMED, Hoshin, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate operational updates.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare production reports.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
- Support employee training, development, and performance management.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing production employees.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience leading production teams.
- Experience in plastics or compounding manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, Kanban, Hoshin, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in English and Spanish preferred.
