CES is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a Sarnia Manufacturer

Key Objectives
 Ensuring product availability and raw material supply in order to meet customer demand on time.
 Controlling and optimization of the entire value chain for the NAFTA region
 Develop “best-in.industry” supply chain system.

Roles &Responsibilities:
 Effective management of purchasing cycle, including all activities related to procurement
of raw material, supplies, utilities, services and capital projects
 Oversee trade compliance and interface with global logistics providers to ensure
deliveries are efficient and cost effective
 Track and resolve local logistics issues, including Customs / Brokerage / TDG
 Oversee and occasionally fulfil North American customer service activities.
 Manage and optimize raw material and finished goods inventories at both local and off-site warehouses.
 Manage vendor relationships and conduct annual reviews for services.
 Liaise with global divisions on supply chain development projects and business alignments
 Ensure consistent and accurate SAP usage in the department
 Develop automation in the department to reduce the administrative workload
 Create, monitor and analyze key metrics for the department
 Develop mid and long-term strategies for improved supply chain solutions that add value to our customers.
 Negotiate, monitor and manage all contracts
 Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures
 Manage and develop employees
 Keeps abreast of emerging technology and industry practices
 Develop annual budget plan covering, purchasing, inventory control, customer service,
shipping & receiving and warehouse.
 Identify and manage risk within the supply chain environment
 Analyze business processes along the entire value chain to identify optimization
potential from raw material planning, production to product delivery.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s Degree with Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification.
 Minimum 15 years of experience within in a Supply Chain environment of which at least
5 years should have been in a leadership position.
 Exposure to manufacturing environment a plus
 Proficient SAP knowledge, especially in area of sales, purchasing and inventory
management (SAP-MM & SD)

 Exceptional understanding of supply chain concepts and processes.
 Ability to analyze data from various systems to get to opportunity/root cause.
 Ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization with exceptional
communication skills, both written and verbal.
 Strong customer orientation, with a proactive mindset and ability to problem-solve on an ongoing basis.
 Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as in a global team environment.
 Strong forecasting and planning abilities which includes production process scheduling
for controlling and optimizing workloads and production process
