Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, maintenance and service of CNC machines, compressed air, water and exhaust duct work, pumps, presses, compressors, material-handling systems, gearboxes, fire suppression equipment and other machinery.
- Support troubleshooting and extensive industrial mechanical related repairs or refurbishment activities under the supervision of an applicable certified or experienced technician.
- Maintain safe operations by keeping work areas clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Supervise and train apprentice level technicians.
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
- Actively maintain proficiency within the following areas:
- Reading and utilizing schematics, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and ladder logic drawings and diagrams.
- Test equipment, oscilloscope, multi meter, function generator, test fixtures, and sensors for predictive, preventive, and troubleshooting maintenance.
- Installation of electrical runs and electronic devices in support of installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Electrical and Electronic System testing, fault diagnosis, and repair/replacement.
- Precision tools such as laser alignment equipment, dial indicators, micrometers and precision and optical levels.
- CNC Machine operation and troubleshooting techniques for OEMs such as DMG, FPT, Makino, Ona, Parpas, DMG, and Unisig.
- CNC controller operation and troubleshooting techniques for OEMs such as Fanuc, Heidenhein, and Allen Bradley.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various machines, equipment, and facilities.
Qualifications
- Requires the successful completion of the industrial electrician (442A) certificate of qualification exam or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an industrial electrician apprentice or equivalent in a role that had direct responsibility for preventative, predictive, and corrective CNC machine maintenance.
- Experience operating CNC Machines is a plus.
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
Wage: DOE
Shifts: 7am-3:30pm
