Canadian Executive Search Group (USA) is currently seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer for an Automotive Manufacturing client in the Ontario area.
Location: Kingsville, Ontario
Schedule: Steady Day Shift Schedule
Compensation: $70k-$80k
Responsibilities:
- Disciplinary and/or functional management of employees
Responsible for managing the standardized machine interface within the plant
Managing the access rights for remote access to equipment in the plant
Managing the access points for the energy management system as per the CU guidelines and
while working in close coordination with the Quality and Facility departments
Assisting and advising the production areas regarding automation projects (e.g. procurement
of new equipment or replacement of existing equipment)
Modifying machines as per the “Machine Modification Process” and in compliance with
statutory regulations
Identifying the need for training within the team, and planning and execution of the necessary
training sessions
Checking that SAP-PM/OPRA are being used correctly in the team (e.g. work order processing,
bookings)
Assisting the maintenance employees in case of machine breakdowns, in particular with
programming skills
Assisting with CIP activities (e.g. synchronizing robot movements)
Advising the Industrial Engineering team on any automation matters during the equipment
specification phase
