We are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimation Manager (Construction) to join our team as the Functional Manager overseeing the National Marketing, Business Development, and Estimating departments in Reno, Nevada. This role offers a competitive salary of $115,000 and presents an exciting opportunity to lead and drive growth within our company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Functional Manager of National Marketing and Business Development Department:

Provide strategic support to the Marketing and Business Development Department by offering input on prequalification questionnaires.
Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Business Development team to visit both new and existing clients, schedule presentations, and participate in client entertainment activities.
Develop and maintain an updated presentation showcasing our company’s background, capabilities, and offerings.
Explore and research potential new market sectors to identify opportunities for future growth.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure continuous business development.

Functional Manager of Estimating Department (Estimation Manager – Construction):

Lead the Estimating department by determining the optimal structure for efficient operations.
Act as the primary point of contact for all client interactions, including pre-bid meetings, bid questions, and post-bid meetings.
Familiarize yourself with craft licensing requirements in the states where we bid work.
Gather wage and benefits information from local IBEW halls for Union work bids.
Research tax and permit requirements for projects in various locations.
Participate in kickoff meetings to facilitate smooth transitions from estimating to construction phases.
Develop standard labor units and installation details based on historical data and project requirements.
Evaluate and recommend software, tools, and equipment for estimating purposes.
Ensure the Estimating department is self-sufficient in delivering essential documents and plans.
Prequalify subcontractors and oversee the solicitation and vetting of subcontract pricing.
Collaborate with vendors to obtain accurate and competitive material pricing.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or industrial/commercial electrical engineering
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proven track record of successful business development and client management.
Experience with estimating software and tools (e.g., BlueBeam, Accubid, NavisWorks).
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, craft licensing, and industry standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
