Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support and improve manufacturing quality systems and processes at a production facility in Toledo, OH. This role partners closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure products and processes meet established quality standards, with a strong emphasis on auditing, data analysis, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the internal audit function for the quality system

• Use audit findings to drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain and manage documentation and change management systems

• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions

• Perform risk assessments to ensure effective process controls and customer satisfaction

• Conduct MSA and process capability studies on new and existing gages and equipment

• Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer returns and internal rejects

• Apply root cause analysis and corrective actions to quality concerns

• Assist and coach team members on statistical methods and quality tools

• Support process improvements through data analysis

• Conduct internal and customer quality audits and participate in customer visits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with 2–5 years of related experience

  • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

• Experience with:

  • PFMEAs and Process Control Plans

  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions

  • APQP and program management techniques

• Proficiency in:

  • Minitab or similar statistical analysis software

  • Engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications

• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Demonstrated competence in quality-related statistical methods

• Ability to pass drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Job Execution & Quality

• Run mold-making jobs from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and high-quality results
• Attend concept meetings and review/interpret design packages
